Editorial Policy
This policy describes the evidence required before a guide is published on abletonlive.net. It applies to troubleshooting articles, tutorials, comparisons, hubs, images and structured data.
One article at a time
Each article completes its own research, drafting and quality cycle before the next article enters production. A shared outline or site-wide fact sheet can support the work, but it does not replace page-specific evidence.
Search intent and competing pages
Research records the exact observable search results used, the date, page type and apparent intent of each relevant result. If fewer than ten organic results are visible, the record states the actual count. Related searches, People Also Ask questions and query variants are kept separate rather than being presented as one literal top ten.
Each article owns one primary reader state and is checked against 5–12 related queries. If two planned pages answer the same state, they are separated by intent or merged before publication.
Fact checking
Version numbers, release dates, edition availability, prices, operating-system support, menu paths, plug-in formats, causes, warnings and recommendations are recorded as separate claims. Primary sources come first: Ableton documentation, release notes, the Live manual and official vendor specifications.
Community reports may identify a pattern worth testing. They are never converted into invented consensus, fabricated quotations or measurements the site did not perform. Unsupported claims are qualified or removed.
Draft and quality gate
After an article is saved as a Ghost draft, the complete saved version is reviewed ten consecutive times for intent, truthfulness, human language, fact checking, current search results, semantic coverage, cross-queries, internal links, images and schema. A material change to text, links, images, schema or hub ownership creates a new revision and resets the clean-pass count to zero.
Links and sources
External evidence is linked in the sentence or section it supports, using descriptive anchor text. Internal links connect a reader to the next relevant diagnosis or workflow step. The site does not append generic “related resources” paragraphs or a detached source dump simply to increase link counts.
Images
Every article cover must be unique, topic-specific and legible at social-preview size. Generated covers use GPT Image or GPT Image 2 only. Tutorial images prioritise real current Ableton Live screenshots, annotated steps and useful diagrams. A generated imitation of the Ableton interface is not accepted as instructional evidence.
Each asset records its source, creator or generation method, access date, dimensions, hash, intended page, alt text and caption. Once images are frozen for final review, their files, alt text, captions and content nodes remain unchanged unless the article returns to a new revision.
Structured data
JSON-LD must describe what a reader can actually see. Article, BreadcrumbList, ItemList, ImageObject and optional FAQ entities are compared field by field with the visible page. Valid JSON that contains stale dates, different answers or unsupported claims fails the gate.
FAQ sections are added only when they answer real residual questions. FAQPage markup is not presented as a guaranteed Google rich-result tactic. Ratings, reviews and SoftwareApplication facts are not invented to make a result look richer.
Commercial independence
No vendor receives editorial approval or a guaranteed conclusion. Paid placement is not accepted. If an affiliate link appears later, it is disclosed on the page and does not determine the recommendation.
Corrections
Corrections are made in place. Material changes trigger a new fact and schema check, and the revised date is updated. Error reports should identify the URL, exact statement, Live version, operating system and supporting source through the contact page.
